AdPlay is a simple-to-use radio commercial player designed for broadcasting "split" commercials to different transmitters. It accepts a variety of inputs in order to begin playback: Keyboard, Mouse, UDP command, contact-closure etc... Playlists can be simple M3U or a CSV from a professional scheduler like Natural Log. As well as working with multi-output cards like M-Audio, AdPlay can also work with a domestic 7.1 surround-sound card to give you 3x stereo outs from a sub-£20 audio card! It can also be used as a simple automation system - all audio is auto-cued upon loading so you don't have to worry about overlap/segue markers to ensure reliable overlaps. Run 3 stations from a single (and simple) screen via M3U. UDP network commands work great with EncoDAD and Myriad - plus any other application that accepts a text-string via UDP. A variety of UDP strings are supported, these are the ones currently enabled: START SPLITBREAK , START SPLIT1 , START SPLIT3 , START SPLIT3 , START HOTKEYS , START HOTKEY1 , START HOTKEY2 , START HOTKEY3 Ad-breaks can be started individually or on a global basis either by pressing a key/button, contact-closure from joystick input or UDP trigger via a network connection - This is ideal if you're using a playout system such as EncoDAD or Myriad - 1 command macro can trigger a 3-way commercial split with a return to automation command at the end of the break to get your playout system running again. A wealth of information is provided for easy status display: Total Break Time, Total Playlist Time, Item Countdown + ProgressBar plus at the bottom of the screen the last network command (and time received) are shown.
