Welcome to charliedavy.co.uk
I'm a 27yr-old bloke from Chelmsford, Essex.
I've worked off and on in radio since 1999 and also write software in Visual Basic and C++.
Current work includes Yak, a touch-screen SIP-based telephone system for radio studios (demo available soon), txIP an audio over IP codec offering audio+data distribution of broadcast feeds, and Trust, a music scheduler.
My radio experience started at Hospital Radio Chelmsford, followed by a stint on Saint FM's first RSL, then over to Northern Ireland on Galaxy107 and Magic105. Recently, I've been heard on
KL FM 96.7 King's Lynn,
Big L Radio London, and Phoenix FM Brentwood. I've now added a Radio page featuring some background information, audio and gossip - I hope to add to this in the coming weeks.Hopefully
you will find something of use on this site - There's plenty to look at.
Chances are you've found it via
Google
because you're after information about something in
Engineer's Corner. Over on the left of this page, you'll see my recently played tracks via Last.FM - this data is taken from the songs I play via WinAmp.
Here comes the summer... and hayfever, atchoo!
I started suffering from this dreaded allergy in the summer of 2002 - I
usually find that Zirtek offers the best relief as I tend to get the itchy
eyes more than the sneezing and runny nose. However, the generic
brands actually contain the same ingredients, cost significantly less and
are just as effective. The pills that I'm currently popping are
Ceterizine and can be
purchased for just 46p per 30.
There's a non-drowsy version available, too. I found this site on
Martin Lewis'
MoneySavingExpert site - also a very useful
bookmark!
