Here are some of the more common questions asked about my software...  This should answer the most common/obvious issues - but if you have any questions or comments regarding my software, a feature or perhaps a bulk discount - PLEASE contact me first, I'll do my best to help you find a solution.

Demo Limitations   Licences : Single vs Site and Home vs Pro
Usually a time-limited runtime - 30 minutes typically.

MyLibrary is also limited to 100 items in the file list and a 3-minute limitation of audio editing whilst un-registered.

SureLog runs for 3 hours whilst un-registered.

All of my programs allow you to try them out prior to purchase - once you have paid for your licence, I will send you an activation code that will register your copy.

A Single Licence is designed for 1 computer and allows you to free updates during the current major version number.

The Site Licence is designed for users who have a requirement for multiple instances of the software eg: various studios.

A Home User is defined as a single person using the software for self-training, remote-broadcasting or podcasts.  A Pro User is any kind of broadcaster, eg: AM/FM, Community, Internet or RSL.

Payment   Version Numbers
The easiest method is Google Checkout which accepts most major credit/debit cards.  The transaction is handled by Google and I see only a confirmation e-mail containing your e-mail address (and home address if you have enabled it).

Bank transfer is also possible, details upon request. UK transfers are usually instant whilst European banks typically take 1-3 business days.  I do not accept Paypal.

Unless otherwise stated, all prices are in Pound Sterling.

Please do not check the "Keep E-Mail address confidential" option - I need your real e-mail address (not the Google alias) for my records and not having it only delays the processing of your key.

Upon receipt of payment, an Activation Key will be issued.  Once an activation code is issued, refunds are not available.

The version number dictates how recent the program is.  The format is major.minor.revision  A revision is used to show a "beta" that is released to test new features before a full release is issued.

eg: MyLibrary 2.5 is released, then 2.5.101. This is a beta release and will continue with 2.5.102 etc until a stable release is ready - ending up as 2.51

Updates and Support   Replacement Activation Codes and Re-Installs
Each purchase allows you updates for the current major version up to x.99. eg: purchase v2.3 and get free updates to v2.99.  If you purchase after x.5, you will automatically roll-over to the next major version.  At the very least, you will get at least 1 year of free updates.

E-Mail support is always available to all users - both established and demo users - if you find a problem or think the software could be improved, please get in touch.

If you change your C: drive or re-format it, you may require a new activation from me - If you have purchased a Single Machine Licence then a replacement code will be charged at my discretion but a one-off is usually OK.

I reserve the right to say "no" if you ask for 10 in the space of a week!

All activation keys are valid only for the machine on which they were licenced - codes are not transferable.  Once an activation code is issued, refunds are not available.

In the case of a Site Licence, replacement codes (and updates) are always free and this is usually a more cost-effective way to purchase.

Feature Requests and Changes   Problems - Initial Configuration and "Get You Working"
Enhancements and fixes are usually a result of your input - so please feel free to make suggestions.  Anything that improves the software is welcomed...   Sure, be as detailed as possible and I can help with the initial configuration, usage tips and fault-finding..  In some situations, I can remote-desktop to your computer and take you through the software in person - usually via Skype and Radmin/Teamviewer.

Windows 7 and Compatibility Issues   Source Code
My programs run on Windows 7 but you will probably need to disable User Account Control which tends to lock-down the Program Files folder.

Ensure that you are logged in as Administrator and right-click the setup EXE and select "Run as Administrator" where possible.  You may prefer to install to C:\appname instead.

There are 2 fixes you can try if you do run into problems (and this applies to other programs, too)... Check out this Microsoft article... You can also use the "Run this program in XP Compatibility Mode" option.

Not for any of my "paid for" programs but if you have a custom software requirement, the option to purchase the source code is available.  When I create a custom application, the code remains my property but the product belongs to you.

A full buy-out of the source code means that the whole product and source belongs to you.  In both cases, I will still charge you "per programming hour" to work on the software.

Source-code can only be purchased where standard Visual Studio "Controls" are used - if your project requires specialist controls you will be responsible for buying a licence to use them in a development environment.

Standard commissions include an additional 4 programming hours upon completion whilst source-code buy-out comes with 10 programming hours.

Please contact me if you have a question not covered on this page...
