.p1met MetaData Files
PlayoutONE can also read a tab-delimited text
file which MyLibrary can be configured to export. The PlayoutONE importer offers a
flexible way to read the file, so columns do not
have to be in a specific order. Previously, it also used the ID3v2 Album field to import custom meta-data such as
EndType, CueIn, Intro, Hook, Segue
etc. FLAC+WAV
files can also be imported this way.
I gather they are now using the Comment
field, but
there is no documentation to support this. CartChunk is also used,
but I am
not sure which type (PostTimer names) is supported - again,
the documentation is vague in this regard.
PlayoutONE uses
.p1met files which sit alongside the audio (much like a
MyLibrary JMD) and allow for basic information to be slipstreamed into the playout
database. Creating these is a right-click option on the selected files - there
are some additional prompts for Type, Category and Alt
Category
to match your PlayoutONE configuration.
