The
Cart field in MyLibrary is used to populate the
External ID field
in mAirList. This allows you to use your global Cart IDs as a unique reference within
mAirList for scheduling purposes - it is also exported as an
Attribute.
v5/v6/v7 MMD Format
Selected files may have an MMD created by pressing CTRL-D. You
can also enable automatic saving from the SongCard by setting this option in
the Config
page in MyLibrary. This allows you to always have
a data backup (using JMD) but allow mAirList to
automatically see the latest changes made within MyLibrary when dragging files from
Windows Explorer/mAirList Browser. If you are
using mAirListDB, you'll need to "Re-Read MMD" on the affected tracks or use the
"Update CSV" method. The CSV method can be used to slipstream new
field-values into mAirList that may already have data set within mAirListDB that would
normally be overwritten with a "Re-Read MMD" command. For example, if you have set
new Hook Points on songs that have low volume so have
boosted the playback level in their mAirList properties -
this would be removed on an MMD re-read, so the CSV method
is the workaround. Here's an example
of typical MMD contents: <?xml
version= "1.0" encoding= "UTF-8"?> Songs that
end Cold (ie: End/Ends) have a StartNext marker whilst Songs that Fade will have
a FadeOut marker applied - this is because generally, in automation, a song will
fade at the segue point unless overridden by the presenter and a Song that ends
suddenly doesn't need to be faded. A 500ms FadeDuration is applied to all non-SONG items so that Bed+Tags may be
used more effectively than relying on the usually larger global fade time of around
2000-3500ms built into most automation systems. mAirList DB CSV If you just want to import "all" tracks in a folder - do
it via "Syncronize" in mAirListDB! ExternalID,Filename,CueIn,Ramp1,Ramp2,Ramp3,FadeOut,StartNext,EndType,Genre mAirListDB will read the above values into the station
database. MyLibrary will output a StartNext marker for tracks with an
"Ends" ending and a FadeOut marker for "Fades". A value of 0.00 will
clear a marker. For custom field exports, you can use the %token% export
format to specify explicit mAirListDB fields - please see the mAirListDB Import
spec on the mAirList site for this.
This is
the current MMD spec and other
MyLibrary fields may be added to the Attribute field in due course - these import into
mAirList automatically, but you can define them in mAirList's Config under Standard Attributes if you wish.

This format can be used to import/update a mAirListDB with
data from MyLibrary - the default format is simply Cart and Filename which allow
mAirList's Database to import selected items from MyLibrary from a defined
"Storage". So, if you had 10,000 songs in a folder, defined as a "Storage"
in mAirListDB but only wanted to import those from 1989 - you could select those
in MyLibrary, right-click and select
mAirList DB
from the context menu to create the CSV file. When you use the import
routine in mAirListDB, it'll pull the songs from the CSV into the database.
